Port Aventura is to Salou what the Eiffel Tower is to Paris. It symbolizes the city as an important tourist destination, receiving thousands of visiters a year. Port Aventura is a theme park and shopping center that is located between Vila Sea and Salou on the Costa Daurada of Catalonia, Spain.

This theme park, whose construction cost over 300 million euros, is a major destination on the Costa Daurada, especially for the kids. It was built in 1995, and since then has been extremely successful. It has thematic areas dedicated to various continents, countries, and geographic zones such as the Wild West, the Mediterranean, China, Polynesia, etc.

Port Aventura has many attractions. There is the roller coaster, which is one of the largest in the world. It is over a kilometer long, and over 30 meters high!!

There is also a zone for Mexico where you will find the Hurricane Condor, a free fall over 100 meters tall.
